Overview

What dependent visa sponsorship involves

Sponsoring a parent carries a higher income threshold than sponsoring a spouse or child, plus a mandatory health insurance requirement that must be in place before the visa is approved, not arranged afterward.

We confirm your eligibility against the actual threshold first, since this is where dependent-parent applications most often stall, then prepare the insurance and income evidence together.

  • Eligibility check against the dependent-parent income threshold
  • Mandatory health insurance arrangement
  • Entry permit or status change application
  • Medical fitness test and Emirates ID biometrics
  • Visa stamping and Emirates ID card issuance

Benefits

Why this category needs extra preparation

Threshold confirmed upfront

We check your income against the actual dependent-parent requirement before you apply, not after rejection.

Insurance arranged in sequence

Mandatory health cover is arranged as part of the process, not left as an afterthought that delays approval.

Both parents can be sponsored

The process supports sponsoring one or both parents under the same application track.

No wasted submissions

Getting the threshold and insurance right the first time avoids a rejection and resubmission cycle.

Who this is for. UAE residents who meet the higher income threshold and want to sponsor one or both parents’ residency.

Requirements & Process

What you’ll need, and how we run it

Documents & eligibility

This category is checked more closely than a standard family visa, income and insurance evidence both need to be right.

  • Sponsor’s passport, visa and Emirates ID copies
  • Salary certificate or trade license and financials, meeting the dependent-parent income threshold
  • Tenancy contract or Ejari registration showing suitable accommodation
  • Parent’s passport copy, valid at least six months
  • Proof of relationship (birth certificate), attested and translated
  • Mandatory health insurance policy for the parent

Additional documents may be required depending on the sponsor’s employment type. We confirm the exact list for your case before any fee is paid.
