An industrial licence covers manufacturing, assembly, processing and production activities, anything that transforms raw materials or components into finished goods. It requires industrial-zoned premises and typically takes longer than trading or professional licences because of environmental and municipal approvals.

When this is not for you
An industrial licence is the wrong licence if you are not physically manufacturing, processing or assembling. It requires suitable premises and additional approvals that a trading business does not need and would not pass. If you are importing finished goods and reselling them, that is a commercial licence.

Documents & eligibility
The file itself is standard, but industrial licensing depends heavily on premises, approvals cannot be finalised until zoned premises are secured.
Passport copies for all shareholders and the appointed manager, valid at least six months
Passport-size photographs against a white background
Three proposed trade names in order of preference
A detailed description of the manufacturing or processing activity, including machinery and inputs
Industrial-zoned tenancy contract or land lease agreement
Environmental impact assessment or exemption confirmation, depending on activity
Civil defence approval for the premises
Board resolution and attested corporate documents where a shareholder is a company
